Abdennour completes permanent Monaco switch

Monaco have announced the permanent signing of Aymen Abdennour on a deal until June 2018, following a successful loan spell.

The centre-back made the switch to the Stade Louis II on a temporary basis from Toulouse in the January transfer window.

Abdennour did enough in the six matches he featured in across all competitions to convince the Ligue 1 runners-up to complete a full-time deal.

The 24-year-old is excited to continue plying his trade at a club with an ambitious project .

I have already spent five very good months here in Monaco, he told the club s official website.

I am very proud to be part of this project. The club is ambitious.

We have returned well to training this week. Serious things start with the first training session i…

Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire has hinted at a move to Premier League outfit Hull City after expressing a desire to play in Europe.

The 21-year-old Maguire capped for England at youth levels is highly rated and has been linked with moves to both Hull and Wolves.

With Sheffield United still in League One, a move to Hull is likely to appeal, and their involvement in the UEFA Europa League seems to have excited Maguire.

He told Sky Sports News on Monday: Playing in the Premier League and Europe will be a dream for me at this stage of my career.

I ve played nearly 170 games. I m just 21 and the Sheffield United fans know I ve given my all in every game I ve played.

Aubameyang confident of catching Salah, Aguero in Golden Boot race

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has his sights set on catching Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League s Golden Boot after his opportunistic goal downed Watford.

Aubameyang capitalised on goalkeeper Ben Foster s lapse in concentration in the 10th minute at Vicarage Road on Monday, earning a win that moved the Gunners up to fourth in the table.

Troy Deeney s red card shortly after the goal gave Watford a mountain to climb but Javi Gracia s side hit the woodwork twice, Bernd Leno turning Craig Cathcart s effort on to the post and Adam Masina s drive clipping the crossbar.

Arsenal held on against the 10 men for their first away clean sheet in the Premier League this season, giving Unai Emery s men a boost ahead of the second leg of their upco…

Januzaj: Moyes key to Sunderland move

Adnan Januzaj says the presence of David Moyes was key to his decision to leave Manchester United for Sunderland on a one-year loan deal.

The 21-year-old made his United debut under Moyes during the 2013-14 campaign, but failed to secure regular first-team football under Louis van Gaal in the following seasons.

Januzaj, who previously spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund, was deemed surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho as well and is now looking to get his career back on track at Sunderland.

Moyes was key to me coming here and I appreciate the opportunity because I want to show people what I can do, Januzaj told the club s official website.

My job is to score goals and assist goals. The fans come to the stadium to enjoy football and watch playe…

According to a recent report from O Jogo, Premier League side Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes, who has been turning heads with his performances for a few years now, has been linked with a series of other top clubs around the continent including Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri appears to be scrambling at the moment in an attempt to buy himself more time, and one of the ways he could do that is buy locking down a few important signings for the summer transfer window. Fernandes is a young and hungry midfielder and while he …

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Won’t “Betray the Fans of the Original,” Producer Says

Just as Final Fantasy 7 Remake did before it, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s story plays with and subverts expectations in fascinating ways, and though in many ways the remake trilogy is hitting all of the main story beats you would expect it to, in others, it’s making some significant changes. However, its developers want to also assure veteran fans of the original game that by the time the trilogy comes to an end, they won’t feel like their expectations were betrayed.

Speaking in an interview with Anime News Network, producer Yoshinori Kitase provided assurances that the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 (or whatever it ends up being called) won’t make too many radical changes to the story, but that, at the same t…
