Manchester United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Lee Grant from Stoke City for a reported fee of £1.5million.
Grant, 35, is expected to serve as United s number three behind David de Gea and Sergio Romero after agreeing a two-year contract.
United sold Sam Johnstone to West Brom in a deal worth around £6.5m earlier on Tuesday, while Portugal youth international Joel Pereira is set to be loaned out for the 2018-19 season.
Moving to Manchester United has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, Grant told his new club s website after United and Stoke confirmed the deal.

I ve enjoyed every moment of my career so far …

Celtic s five-year wait for a group-stage victory in the Champions League was extended following a 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw on Wednesday.
A dominant first half saw Ange Postecoglou s side take the lead courtesy of an own goal from Artem Bondarenko, but Mykhailo Mudry s impressive campaign continued as he netted the equaliser.
That Celtic opener came after just 10 minutes when Josip Juranovic s clearance reached Sead Haksabanovic, who teed a pass through to Reo Hatate. His attempted cutback earned a deflection of Bondarenko and squirmed past Anatolii Trubin.
However, Shakhtar equalised against the run of play before the half-hour mark, with Celtic caught out defensively as Heorhii Sudakov sent Mudryk clear to smash high past Joe Hart, adding …

The friendly match against Costa Rica marks the end of Maradona s ban. El Pelusa was banned from football for two months following controversial comments at a press conference after his team secured their place at the World Cup finals.
It was very hard but it s past and now I m only thinking about the World Cup, said Maradona. Those two months were very painful.
I asked FIFA if I could pay a fine with my money and not to distance me from the players but I couldn t do absolutely anything, just speak to the players on the phone.

Jose Mourinho has a challenge on his hands resurrecting Manchester United s fortunes
The scene was set this summer for a battle of Manchester to take place between two of the greatest football bosses of their generation.

Unfortunately for one-half of Manchester, it is not looking like the predicted title battle will take place.
United are floundering in eighth place, while City are top, albeit after a poor run of form under Guardiola.

De Jong joined Barca on loan from Sevilla at the end of the transfer window with the Dutchman seen by most as a curious option in many senses.

But late on deadline day, cash-strapped Barca allowed Antoine Griezmann to depart for Atletico Madrid and the Blaugrana replaced the Frenchman with De Jong on a temporary deal for 2021-22.
It is a signing that many Barca fans will have deemed underwhelming given De Jong hardly sparkled previously in LaLiga with …

Despite television coverage allowing Chelsea an extra day to prepare for the Hull game compared to some of the club s Premier League rivals, Mourinho has hinted that the players are unlikely to feature against Steve Bruce s men.
My line-up will depend a lot on which players go away with their national teams two days before the opening of the Premier League, he said.
